Adrienne Geoghegan

Adrienne’s love of painting and drawing started at an early age.  She studied design and illustration at Kingston University, where she was awarded a first class BA (hons) degree. She lived in London for several years illustrating for publishers and newspapers, including The Guardian and The Economist, before returning to her native Dublin in 1994. She continues to work in children’s books as well as lecturing part-time in visual communications. She also runs a picture book diploma at The Independent College of Dublin.

In 2004 Adrienne set up ‘My Very Own Picture’ a children's limited edition fine art Company.  She was shortlisted for the Bisto Award for picture book illustration in 2006 and is an active member of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland and Children's Books Ireland.
