Gill McLean

Gill was brought up in rural Lancashire and spent most of her childhood drawing and exploring the surrounding countryside. This gave rise to an interest in natural history which she maintains to this day. After working briefly as a surveyor, she became a designer working for publishers, including Templar, before moving into children’s book illustration.

Having lived in France and Australia she recently returned to her northern roots and lives in north Yorkshire with her husband and two children.
