Caroline was brought up in an Oxfordshire village and later moved to London to study Graphic Design. She ended up specialising in Illustration and has always felt that studying design has helped her enormously as an illustrator.
Caroline has been illustrating children's picture books for nearly twenty years and started to write her own text after her son William was born. She tries to create and retain a hand crafted feel to her work and has a passion for colour and texture. Influences include American Folk Art and fabric design from the 1950's.
When Caroline is not working in her studio she is probably walking Maddie the dog or riding her horses.
