Mark was born in London into a creative family including a pianist, actress and dancer. He was encouraged to draw from an early age going on to study Illustration and Painting at the University of Wolverhampton.
"One of the most interesting jobs I had whilst a student was as an extra for film and TV working on anything from pop videos to EastEnders. As well as writing and illustrating picture books I also work for a company designing greeting cards, puzzles and plush toys for a major high street store."
Mark and his wife, Geraldine, have two boys who provide lots of inspiration!
