Sarah studied Graphics at Manchester University and always wanted to illustrate but she got side-tracked and worked in corporate design and as an art editor in children's publishing.

Then, working as a freelance designer, with more than one hundred books to her credit, she asked a lot of nosy questions of illustrators she was working with before she decided to try her own hand. She now works full-time as an illustrator and lives in Sussex with her husband and little boy.
