Lorna was born in Stockport but spent most of her childhood in Macclesfield. She was always good at art and it was her teacher who persuaded her to go to college. She studied illustration at Norwich and then Manchester where Tony Ross was her tutor.

 

On leaving college she worked freelance in advertising and greeting cards. She now lives in Wales with her husband, three children, two horses, two dogs and numerous ducks. She regularly competes in dressage and even finds time to paint – fine art as well as illustration.
