Emma studied Graphics and Illustration at Bristol Polytechnic and then did an MA in Illustration at Brighton. She has since worked as a children's textile designer for a variety of high street stores including Marks and Spencer, Mothercare and Habitat. She met Trevor, who had studied textiles at Camberwell, whilst they were working for BHS.

They decided to work on a book together in their spare time to vent their creative frustrations, hence Kitty Princess and the Newspaper Dress happened. Emma lives in London with her husband Graham and son Finn. Trevor lives in Australia with his wife Jo and their daughters Ella and Lucy.

So how do they work on a book together? The collage is scanned and the rest of the artwork is built around this on computer. Emma and Trevor use webcams so they can see each other working!!
