Gill Lobel

Gillian was born and grew up in Coventry and had a passion for books for as long as she can remember.  She read English at Manchester University.  After graduating she went on to do research and then trained as a teacher.  She worked in a wide range of secondary schools where she took pleasure in passing on her love of literature to the children she taught.

Gillian is married with two children and three grandchildren and has always treasured sharing books with them.  She loves classical music, cats, gardening, poetry, walking, natural history and painting.  She says, ‘Writing books for children has been a great pleasure and a privilege.’
